How Morse stays honest.
Morse is built to withhold a verdict it can't support. Here is what that means in practice — and what happens to your data.
The refusal rules.
When the evidence is thin, Morse says so. These are not disclaimers; they are behaviors in the product:
- 01A neutral “baseline forming” state instead of a fabricated red, until an agent has enough history to compare against.
- 02Cost per successful outcome shows nothing — not $0 — when no success can be confirmed.
- 03Regression comparisons say “inconclusive” below the sample size and correct for multiple comparisons, so a moved number is not mistaken for a real change.
- 04A replayed trace that can't be scored says “n/a” and is kept out of the CI gate.
- 05An investigation with thin or conflicting evidence returns “Needs review” — the correlated data, never an asserted cause.
Coverage, everywhere.
Every figure shows how much of the data it stands on: the share of spans that could be priced, the share of runs with confirmed outcome labels, the number of traces a quality score sampled. A number without its coverage is not shown.
Estimates say so.
Prompt-cache savings, memory-on versus memory-off comparisons, and context attribution are estimates or directional signals. They are labeled where they appear and never enter totals.
Separate lanes.
Outcomes, spend, and sampled quality answer different questions. The brief ranks attention across them; it never fuses them into one score.
Your data.
We do not train on your data. Redaction runs server-side, cannot be disabled, and can be extended per organization. Tenant isolation is covered by a dedicated test suite. Full GDPR export and deletion. Retention follows your plan; subprocessors are listed.
The SDK.
Open source. Batches telemetry asynchronously, off the request path, and fails silent — a delivery error never interrupts your agent. Self-diagnostics show you exactly what it sends.
Security.
Prompt-injection scanning, output classification, and canary tokens protect Morse's own copilot and judge paths. Ingest is rate-limited and abuse-controlled. Security details →
